Tracy Needham launched her business in 2003 after more than a decade in marketing communications—the majority of which was spent in the financial services industry. Her last job in the corporate world was creating and managing the competitive affairs function at a mutual fund company in Bethesda, MD.
Compelling Communications, LLC, provides copywriting and marketing strategies to solopreneurs and small businesses.
Tracy is an award-winning writer whose first published article was originally written as a graduate school assignment. Entitled “From Graduation to a Job on Capitol Hill,” it was published by Cosmopolitan magazine in 1995. Tracy is also a Contributing Editor at Interest.com and is co-author of the anthology Conscious Entrepreneurs, which will be published in Spring 2008.
She received an M.S. in Public Relations from Boston University College of Communication in 2003 and a B.A. in International Relations from the College of William & Mary in Virginia in 1991. And she has been listed in both Who's Who in American Women and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders.

Commitment to Sustainability
At Compelling Communications, we strive to create high quality, engaging products and services that enrich people’s lives and businesses. We strongly believe that being a sustainable business isn’t just the "right" thing to do—it also builds a stronger, more successful business.

Integrity—We strive for authenticity and integrity in our products and services, as well as in the way we do business.
Environment—We take steps to minimize our impact by purchasing recycled and Energy Star products, using green printers, and supporting the development of alternative energy through programs such as NC Green Power. Since we also are a big believer in saving and “recycling” wonderful old buildings instead of building new ones, we support the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Community—We support the community around us with donations to charities such as Interact of Wake County and buying Kids Cards, which raise funds for the benefit of pediatric patients and their families at North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
